Description
Rectangular tile, commonly called “pianella” – the brick usually used to pave rural structures typical of the Tuscan countryside. Tuscan terracotta, especially from the Impruneta area, is highly appreciated and known for its waterproof characteristics and resistance to low temperatures, in addition to the beautiful terracotta shades; making it unique, recognizable and highly sought after. We use this kind of tile, with its irregularities, veins, at first glance imperfections of hand-made terracotta; to create artefacts with classic decorations, which come from distant times and places; but it is precisely thanks to these irregularities that our products take on a worn, lived-in appearance that smells of antiquity; these imperfections are like scars that make each individual product unique and unrepeatable. Saints Series: Saint is an attribute of a being, object or manifestation that is believed to be related to divinity.
