Rectangular tile, commonly called pianella - the brick usually used to pave rural structures typical of the Tuscan countryside. Tuscan terracotta, especially from the Impruneta area, is highly appreciated and known for its waterproof characteristics and resistance to low temperatures, as well as its beautiful terracotta shades; makes it unique, recognizable and highly sought after. We use this suffix, with its irregularities, veins, at first glance imperfections of handmade terracotta; to create artefacts with classic decorations, which come from distant times and places; but it is precisely thanks to these irregularities that our products take on a worn, lived-in appearance that smells of antiquity; these imperfections are like scars that make every single product unique and unrepeatable. The decoration of the landscape in the 4 seasons was created using the colors of the countryside that change according to the seasons and we also combined a subject that represented that period of time. So, for spring we chose "il iris", an iris that grows spontaneously in the Florentine countryside during spring. For the summer we thought that the sunflower could be the most representative, sunniest and brightest subject. For autumn, thanks also to our proximity to the Chianti area, where most of the hills are cultivated with vineyards, we could only choose grapes as the subject. While for the winter we chose olives, we find it to be a very decorative subject that fully represents the Tuscan countryside.
